On other examples of this medal the names of the medallists are present. J.S. & A.B. Wyon would appear on the obverse just above the lower scroll on the right side going to base of the scroll at three o'clock. On the reverse below the left twig at the base of the wreath Allan Wyon's name would be present. Possibly die polishing or new dies.
