CANADA / FRANCE c1908 Cartier, Montcalm & Champlain 111mm x 81mm aluminum plaque 133 grams .  "The first great men in Canada"  by E. Exbrayat in Paris and published by Deschiens.

Obverse: triptych containing half-length busts of the explorers Jacques Cartier and Samuel de Champlain flanking that of Louis-Joseph de Montcalm-Grozon, the Marquis de Montcalm; each separated by fledgling olive tree, JACQVES CARTIER 1494-1554 / MARQVIS DE MONTCALM 1712-1759 / SAMVEL CHAMPLAIN 1570-1635

Étienne-Victor (Stephen) Exbrayat (1879-1914). Exbrayat was born in Saint-Etienne / France, French sculptor and medallist, Studied with Thomas and Ponscarme. Exbrayat was a promising sculptor and medallist but was killed in 1914 during World War I.
