FRANCE 1976 Paris Airport  67.5mm Bronze Medal 159 grams of the Aérogare d’Orly by H. Dropsy

Obverse: AÉROPORT DE PARIS

Reverse: AÉROGARE D'ORLY / H. DROPSY

A similar medal was made for the 1961 inauguration of the south wing by Charles de Gaulle. The only special event that I am aware of for Orly Airport in 1976 was the January 21st inaugural flight of the Concorde, but there is no mention of that plane on this medal

Henri Dropsy (21 January 1885 – 2 November 1969) was a French sculptor and medallist. His work was part of the art competitions at the 1924 Summer Olympics and the 1928 Summer Olympics.
