Ricardo Scarpa was a pupil of De Loto and Carlo Lorenzetti at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, Riccardo Scarpa arrived in Paris in 1928. He lived in France until his death in 1999. In 1974, the Society of French Artists awarded him the gold medal for the set of works he exhibited at the Salon of French Artists.
